Sea Island in Georgia Said to Be Near $200 Million Sale to Avenue, Oaktree
Sea Island Co., the Georgia resort that aspired to be the “Pebble Beach of the East” before the financial crisis, is nearing an agreement to be bought by Avenue Capital Group and Oaktree Capital Management LP for about $200 million, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
