Yeah, its a great idea to eliminate thaose big bonuses. We don’t need them filthy rich people. We don’t need them stinkin rich bastards buying luxury yachts and luxury automobiles or luxury jets or luxury homes.
They should all be freaking dirt poor. How dare they strive to make make money and then spend it on things we build and maintain. How dare those dirty sons a bitches do that to us.
We should all be equal. So all you bastards with those nice pickup trucks and hummers and BMW’s, you all better get rid of them and get a hyundai elantra and be like the rest of us, you dirty rotten rich ass bastards!!!!!!!!!!! Go to hell, all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m mad as hell. who do you think you are?
Not really, but we need to start thinking about how much money these people spend, and how much we need to have wealthy people to help the rest of us survive. Really we do.
How many jobs does a hedge fund investment create? Because that’s where most of their money goes.
You’ve got a valid point. Class envy will ruin us.
Not everyone can work in the ship building industry…and by the way their sales are down. Your example is juvenile and shows the simplistic understanding you have of social justice.
How many people does it take to put their millions of dollars into offshore tax shelters or Swiss bank accounts? Because that’s where the money is going, not creating jobs.
seems more of a rant than a question.
I don’t have a problem with people who become wealthy that have made good contributions to society. It is the wealthy looters that ran the country into the ground I object to.
You’re spot on. I lived in Alabama a number of years ago when they raised the taxes on “luxury” items. It was aimed at getting more money from the rich, but what happened was, the rich cut back on spending on those items. There was a yacht-making company near us and it practically went bankrupt and laid off bunches of people. The moral of the story is that the rich spend money on BIG toys… toys that allows people to earn a living at getting the toy(s) to the rich guy’s doorstep.
you make a point most people don’t understand,,, we need the rich,,, their success is the working classes success,,,, and the working classes success,,, is the success of those who are young working entry level jobs,,, or chose to live life without looking toward the future.
rich rarely happens without dedication to either education and/or a job.
With all the talk of taxes, hate the rich et al, I closed out all my accounts and moved my trust fund to Switzerland and Andorra. I just like working and I hope the people here never find out how much I am worth.
Bill Clinton and the Dems tried to destroy the yacht industry with special taxes. They had to repeal them since they lost more in taxes than what it brought in and of course the job loses.
Obama does not care about the tax revenue since he is all about class warfare. Obama was asked about an increase in capital gains tax would bring in fewer taxes, Obamas reply, I do not care. I just want is fair.
I think people need to ask themselves when they ever got a job from someone that wasn’t a rich person.
you have a good point but you need to add the private plane that he flies down to the coast to use the yacht. the pilot and crew need to keep their jobs to. and then their is new clothes and supplies for the vacation on the yacht. and it keeps going.
